Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS, and Chromebooks are all operating systems that are driven entirely or partially by a graphical user interface.
I’m going to say that Android is not the one to start with because it is not driven by a GUI at all. In fact, most of the other “open” operating systems do not even have a GUI. They all have a full program that runs on your computer, they rely on a web browser, and all the work of a desktop to run.
Android is a little more complicated than most because while there are many ways to run the system, the only way to tell what is running on the Android device is through an app in the Google Play Store, an app that is essentially the Android Operating System that all the other devices run on. The first step in getting a decent Linux-based operating system is learning about the differences among the various operating systems.
Linux is a great operating system. It’s got a web browser, a desktop, and lots of different ways to run applications. It also has a great desktop environment, an excellent set of desktop tools, a great set of user and developer documentation, and a number of great, free online resources. But what it doesn’t have right now is a graphical user interface.
Linux is a very popular operating system. But it’s a very big, complicated, and difficult operating system to get running on your computer. To get a reliable and good looking desktop for Linux, you need a good graphics card, 3d graphics drivers, and a good video card. But most of all you need lots of RAM. If you have a laptop, you’re not going to run Linux without a computer with decent RAM.
You can get a good Linux desktop operating system like Linux Mint running on a computer without a good graphics card, 3d graphics drivers, and a good video card. They are called “virtual machines” or “virtual desktops.” The advantage of this is that you dont have to spend a lot of money on hardware to get the best desktop possible.
The best way to get a desktop that can run any operating system of your choice without having to pay a lot of money for hardware is to get a virtual machine running that is based on the latest version of that operating system. For instance, you want a virtual desktop that runs Ubuntu. You cant expect the same hardware to work with Windows or OSX. You can expect the same computer to work with a virtual desktop that runs any of the above operating systems.
We’ve all been burned by a virtual machine that has a graphical user interface. They just don’t look as good.
But you can expect the same hardware to work with the virtual desktop, but with a graphical interface for that operating system. That’s not the same hardware. The graphics are all the same. The operating system, the applications, and the hard drives and RAM are all the same. The operating system is just a different interface for the same hardware.
The operating system actually looks and feels very, very different. It looks like a Mac OS X OS from the 90s.
