This is a difficult question to answer because we don’t know where to start and we don’t know if that’s the right way or not. The right answer is probably something that might be hard to find. I personally think that the best way to start thinking about this is to try it. When we’re in our minds, we don’t tend to focus that hard on what we are doing or why.
I’ve found that I just start trying to do something and try to get it done, without having to think about it. After a few minutes of this, I can usually figure out the reason why I just didn’t get what I was trying to do, and then I go back to what I was doing.
And while not the easiest task, this is a really good thing. When we do not focus on what we are doing, we often fail to do our best.
We should try to focus on our actions and why we are doing them, and not just our actions. To do so is to do the work of focusing on yourself and what you are doing. Without self-awareness, we find it hard to see ourselves as doing what we are doing.
I see a lot of people who are trying to optimize their performance and they fail to see how they are doing it. They see their performance and go, “oh, I was doing this really well.” But that is not how it works. I have found that people who are focused on performance usually fail to do their best.
Sometimes we do things we don’t really mean to do (or even do at all). Sometimes we do things we wouldn’t mind doing. The most important thing is to not confuse the two. Our actions have to be purposeful. If we are not doing the work of focusing on ourselves and what we are doing, then we are failing to do the work of doing the work of doing what we are doing.
The important thing in working on a project is to know that what you are doing matters. Most of us are not doing our best because we are not practicing what we are doing. For most of us it is like doing the same thing all the time. We are in a constant state of doing the same thing. We are not doing what we intend to do. But we are trying to fix what we are doing.
If you want to know why you are doing what you are doing, you need to be aware that you are in a constant state of doing what you are doing. There is a lot of advice out there that says you should be working on a project every day. I’m guilty of doing that and that’s fine. But I’m not at peace with my life because I’m not doing my best. I know that I am doing the work, but I’m not doing the work at all.
