I used to consider myself to be a “salem” person, and I was. I spent most of my life in Salem, NH, and my entire life there. I spent every summer there, and it was an idyllic time of year. I went to summer camp for the first time when I was twelve, and I always dreamed of going back. For years, I thought Salem would be the perfect place to start a family.

I’d always wanted a little girl in the family, but I also knew being a salem person would be a lot of work. I was also looking forward to a vacation, so I thought, if I can get to stay in Salem without being a salem person, I can probably get my family to stay in Salem too.

A lot of Salem residents have been married for over 40 years, and they continue to have children, so I thought that would be the perfect place to start a family. However, I had no idea how to start a family in the summer without having someone to come with me. I had no idea what I would need to pack. I had no idea if I’d be able to get a job.

I had no idea how to start a family without being married to a salem person. My problem was that, with no family to come with me, I was stuck in a time loop. I had no idea what to do. I had no idea how to get a job. I had no idea if I would be able to get to work. I had no idea if I would be able to get to work on time.

That’s right. Even though I’m not your grandma, I’m pretty sure my life would be pretty similar. I’d probably be a stay-at-home wife. I’d probably have to do the laundry by myself. I’d probably have to learn to drive. I’d probably have to learn to drive my boss to be late. I’d probably have to learn to drive my boss to be late because I’m on a time-loop.

That’s great, but you also have to remember that “work” is not a constant by itself. It has a specific definition, like a job. If you’re a programmer or a web designer, you may work 20-30 hours a week, and if you’re a lawyer, you might work 6-8 hours a week.

Like any profession, you can look at work as a task that needs to be done, or a job, where you need to do the work. It can also be a hobby, a pursuit, a part of life. The key is to decide what work you want to do and where you want to do it, and then figure out how to get it done.
