As the number of ways to communicate with other computers, there are many varieties of protocols that exist for communication. A few, such as the HTTP, are specifically designed for the Internet. The other protocols are just like the Internet, but have their own set of rules.
The TCP/IP protocol suite, which is used for the internet, was originally designed to carry voice calls. It’s been modified and standardized for the telephone so it can be used for sending faxes and email. In short, it’s a lot like the internet, but for a lot less money.
It is not really a protocol for sending faxes or email, but it is for sending voice calls. As I understand it, the IP protocol is designed to allow computers to carry voice calls over the internet.
I suspect that the most important thing to remember about IP is that it is a stack protocol. So it has to be able to accommodate an arbitrary number of IP addresses. If you want to send a fax to someone and they only have one IP address, you can’t send them a fax. If you want to send them a fax on that one IP address, you have to send it again to someone else. This is where IP comes in handy.
You probably don’t need to know this, but in order for IP to work, it has to be able to handle arbitrary numbers of IP addresses. There are a couple of reasons to use IP. One is to avoid the need to send the same data each time. Another is that it can serve as a backup if one or more of the addresses in the IP address pool get filled with addresses.
The same is true for IP addresses. When IP starts getting too big for one person to handle, it goes into the pool and becomes a backup address for the rest of the people in the pool. There’s also a risk that one person will get too many IP addresses themselves. The IP pool is a sort of giant computer that contains the addresses of everyone using IP, and it has to be managed by a person. In fact, you can even have someone manage it for you.

The problem with IP addresses is that they can get all sorts of crazy. If you want to assign one to your own computer, you have to know which computer to get it for. If you want one for your kid’s computer, you only have one computer in your house and can’t even decide that.
IP addresses are assigned by DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which is a protocol that allows you to find out where all your computers are.
Well, as you may have guessed, IP addresses are assigned to computers, and computers are assigned to IP addresses. This is a very simple concept, but IP addresses are hard to understand because they are just numbers. This made IP address assignment extremely difficult in the past, so using it on a desktop or laptop meant doing so by trial and error.
