I have had several instances in the last couple months where my computer would not shutdown or I would get an error message when I tried to open the esc key on a new computer, as if the esc key wasn’t working.

If you have the esc key on your computer, it will probably show as a “try again” message in a short amount of time. Or, if you have it in the esc key, it will work.

I’m not sure what caused the esc key to not work, but I did have a similar problem. When a code has to be entered to access a certain feature, there is a delay before the computer accepts the code, and when you get it, the esc key would not work until that code was entered. Again, there’s no fault here. It’s not like I’m sending a text message, but if I were, the esc key would work. If it’s not working, we should find out why, and fix it. I think it’s the user agent setting being the problem.

We have no idea why our esc key is not working. I believe (but do not know) that the user agent setting is the problem, and that the esc key on the Apple I Phone is not working at all. I would love an Apple solution, but until they release the iPhone I Phone with an esc key it will not work.

Its something that happens a lot when I use esc keys, but for our case, it is something that could easily be fixed. When setting up my Apple iPhone, it asks me whether I want to enable this key or not. If I click neither, then I can use the esc key. I’m not sure if this has been fixed in the latest iOS update, but if it has I would like to hear why.
